A webinar can work perfectly as a video broadcast and still disappoint the team running it. Registration data may arrive late, the replay may need another tool, or the plan may count attendance differently from the budget. The useful buying question is which platform supports the whole event workflow, from invitation to follow-up.

Zoom Webinars, Livestorm, Demio, BigMarker and GoTo Webinar offer different combinations of delivery, engagement and marketing operations. This comparison draws on official product and pricing materials checked on October 10, 2026. It describes documented capabilities and purchase boundaries, without claiming we hosted comparative events or measured conversion results.

A webinar is more than a large meeting

Webinars usually separate presenters from the audience and add registration, reminders, moderated questions and reporting. A collaborative call has a different purpose. Our video meeting comparison covers everyday group communication; this article focuses on scheduled one-to-many programs and reusable event content.

Distinguish live, prerecorded, simulive and on-demand formats. A recorded presentation played at a scheduled time can still need a human moderator, while a searchable replay may have its own engagement and billing rules. Decide which formats you will actually run before paying for a broad events package.

BigMarker Programs needing more event customization Webcasts, registration and broader event packages Quoted packages; advanced integrations and formats vary
GoTo Webinar Structured webinar programs with organizer ownership Reminders, reporting and tiered event capabilities Current Reach, Elevate and Complete packaging needs review

Zoom Webinars

Zoom distinguishes standard Webinars from Webinars Plus and its broader Events offering. The standard product covers broadcast delivery, chat, reactions, polls, Q&A and reporting. Webinars Plus adds production and content workflows such as simulive presentation, backstage coordination and richer event analytics. Multi-session networking and hybrid event features belong to the wider Events discussion.

Strengths: the familiar product family can reduce the organizational work of introducing another presentation environment. That matters when internal speakers, external guests and support staff already know how to prepare for Zoom. Audience interaction gives a moderator several ways to collect questions and keep the presentation relevant.

Limitations and cost: do not assume an existing meeting license includes the required webinar capacity or advanced production tools. The pricing pages distinguish host licensing and attendee capacity, and permit more registrations than attendance capacity for unpaid events. Numeric prices were not exposed consistently in the reviewed page extraction, so obtain the current amount and currency for your chosen billing period. Confirm simultaneous events, required base licenses and replay access in the same purchase.

Livestorm

Livestorm emphasizes browser-based webinars with registration, reminders, audience participation and integrations. Its current pricing model uses a yearly pack of attendee credits. One credit is spent when a person attends a session, including live, replay or on-demand attendance. Returning to the replay of the same session is counted once, but attending a different session consumes another credit.

Strengths: the attendee model gives a program manager a way to budget around actual participation across multiple events. The reviewed Pro plan includes unlimited team members and events, with a four-hour session limit. This can suit teams running a repeatable customer education or marketing schedule rather than buying access around a single peak room size.

Limitations and cost: estimate annual consumption across replays as well as live broadcasts. The displayed example used EUR per attendee; it is not a universal monthly host price. Enterprise integrations and longer sessions belong to Enterprise, while SAML SSO, video hosting region and other capabilities appear as add-ons. Confirm the credit pack, expiry conditions, concurrent audience capacity and connector entitlement. An integration logo alone does not establish inclusion in Pro.

Demio

Demio focuses on webinars for marketers, including registration and participation tools such as polls, chat, handouts and featured actions. Its current plans distinguish Starter, Growth and Premium. Growth and Premium include prerecorded on-demand and automated webinars in the reviewed comparison; these should not be assumed from Starter’s live webinar scope.

Strengths: a focused event funnel can help a small marketing team keep registration, presentation and engagement in one workflow. Featured actions provide a concrete way to connect the session to a next step, such as a relevant resource or demonstration request. Those tools support the process; they do not guarantee pipeline or sales outcomes.

Limitations and cost: Starter is limited to one host and a 50-attendee room. Higher plans offer different room sizes, branding and support. Demio defines a host as someone who can start and stop events and says simultaneous events require multiple hosts. Its page mixes dynamically populated prices and an inconsistent billing label in one Premium display, so verify currency, host quantity and term at checkout. Compare automation and session-duration allowances separately from audience size.

BigMarker

BigMarker separates webcast subscriptions, event packages and media hubs. Its quoted webcast plans include Basic, Enterprise and Enterprise+. The current Basic description lists live and on-demand webinars, registration and emails, chat, polls, Q&A, handouts and recording. Enterprise adds capabilities including simulive and evergreen formats, advanced reporting and specified integration allowances.

Strengths: the broader package structure is useful for teams that want webinar delivery to connect with a more customized event experience. It offers room to discuss branding, embedded registration and content destinations rather than treating every program as a standalone video session. That scope can matter for an event operations team with several recurring formats.

Limitations and cost: the plans request a quote rather than displaying a fixed subscription amount. Basic lists one host license and up to 1,000 live attendees; that does not mean unlimited parallel programs. Higher audience capacities and customization appear in higher tiers. Have sales separate webcast functions, CRM integrations, event services, media hubs and implementation costs. A large maximum in the product family is not the capacity of the entry package.

GoTo Webinar

GoTo Webinar’s current pricing page uses Reach, Elevate and Complete. Reach lists one organizer seat, up to 500 participants, reporting, automated reminders and follow-ups, polls and live Q&A. Elevate adds a larger participant allowance plus branded webinars, cloud recordings, AI summaries and transcripts, and running recordings as live events.

Strengths: the organizer-centered model fits a program where named staff own setup and delivery. Automated event communications and reporting can reduce repeated administrative handoffs. The higher-tier recorded-event workflow is relevant when a team wants to reuse a presentation while preserving a scheduled audience experience.

Limitations and cost: older Lite, Standard or Pro tables are not an accurate description of the reviewed current packaging. The public page exposes a currency selector and billing periods, but its numeric amounts were absent from the readable extraction. Confirm the actual price, organizer permissions, capacity and add-ons directly. Separate live event access from recording availability and production requirements. Include a guest presenter in the pilot rather than evaluating only with an administrator’s account.

How to shortlist a webinar platform

Model the whole calendar. Write down live attendance, replay viewing, host overlap and program frequency. A room-based license, an organizer-based license and a yearly attendee-credit pack price different things. Budget for a quiet month and a busy month using the same assumptions.

Follow one attendee record. Start with registration, then attendance, a poll response and a replay. Check which fields reach your CRM and when. Match the follow-up message to what the person actually did, and confirm that the connector belongs to the proposed plan.

Rehearse operational failure. During a permitted pilot, have a presenter join late, hand control to a moderator and reconnect from another device. Check captions, mobile attendance and access to the final recording. These are evaluation tasks, not results claimed for any product here.

Define content ownership. Decide who can publish a replay, correct captions, remove personal information and retire an outdated session. Export an attendee report and a recording before committing; a recurring program needs a usable exit path.

Evaluation checklist: registration branding; host overlap; live capacity; browser and mobile access; moderated Q&A; captions; replay terms; CRM fields; retention; annual usage and add-ons.

Which platform fits your program?

Evaluate Zoom Webinars for a familiar presentation environment, Livestorm for browser-led programs with attendance-based budgeting, and Demio for focused marketing workflows. BigMarker belongs on the shortlist for more customized event requirements; GoTo Webinar suits structured organizer-led delivery. Choose against your complete event calendar and follow-up process rather than an isolated audience-capacity figure.
